In summer 2017, the Neue Württembergische Zeitung (NWZ) reported on the rise of CT Kran-Service:

"From Salach via Dubai to Göppingen, that's how you can describe the history of the company founded by Tanja and Franz Frey in 1996. With eight employees at the beginning, the couple laid the foundations for the company's success story by providing services for the assembly of construction cranes. The business area was quickly expanded to include crane hire and crane recycling and more and more construction companies became aware of the Swabian experts. Dubai, Oman, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Portugal are just some of the countries in which the company was or is active. In 2009, a subsidiary was founded in the Czech Republic, followed by the relocation of the company headquarters to Göppingen in 2015.

The Stauferpark is a stroke of luck, as it offers enough space for the almost 300 construction cranes that the company now owns and has thus grown to become one of the biggest in the industry. As a provider of specialised solutions, it was ultimately a logical step to herald the next stage in the company's history this year with the in-house production of cranes. In a few weeks' time, the first CT crane will be delivered. Flying high!"
